The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MoPED) has on 24th January 2020, engaged key stakeholders together with representatives of Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) and development Partners to discuss the Zero Draft National Public Investment Management Policy (NPIMP) at the Port Loko District Council in PortLoko.

The First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mr David Lipton in his maiden visit to Sierra Leone has on Monday 27th January stated that the fund is very pleased to be supporting Sierra Leone.

He made this statement during courtesy call on the Minister of Finance at his treasury building office. 

The Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Francis Kai-Kai has on Monday, 27th January 2020, addressed participants at the official opening workshop on the roll-out of the UNDP Sierra Leone Country Program Document (CPD 2020-2023), organized by the UNDP at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel in Freetown.

The Human Rights Commission of Sierra Leone (HRCSL)  on Tuesday January 28th is part of other members of the Technical Working Group on the implementation of the Voluntary Guidelines for the Governance of Tenure of Land Fisheries and Forests (VGGT) in the country that began a series of regional consultations on the two draft Bills on Customary Land Rights and the Lands Commission.

The Chairman of the Human Rights Commission of Sierra Leone (HRCSL) Patricia Narsu Ndanema has told officials of the Criminal Investigations Department that 'Statelessness is a human rights concern'.

The Chairman made that remark Tuesday January 28th during the HRCSL engagement with the  Head of CID,  John K. Alpha, Supervisor of Violent Crimes, M.K Alieu, ASP L.A Sana Vandi and the two deportees from the United States of America.
