President Alpha Conde and Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh


The Honourable Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh on 25th February, 2020 met with President Alpha Conde of the Republic of Guinea in Conakry. The two statemen discussed wide ranging issues including; the spontaneous blockade of the Gbalamuya border, as well as a recent attack at the Guinea Embassy in Freetown.

The Deputy Minister of Justice Umaru Napoleon Koroma is in Harare, Zimbabwe to attend the sixth session of the African Forum on Sustainable Development.

Mr. Koroma who also doubles as Secretary General of the Sierra Leone People's Party will spend the next three days with over three thousand delegates from around the world to discuss the theme, "A Decade to  Deliver a Transformed and Prosperous Africa through the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063"


A delegation led by Vice President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh on Friday 28th February 2020 met President  Macky Sall in Senegal.

The delegation which comprises Ministers of Lands, Housing and Country Planning, Dr. Denis Sandy, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Edward Sandy as well as the Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Forestry II, Mr. Abdul Karim and Finance Sheik Fantamady Bangura arrived on a three day working visit to engage their Senegal counterparts in different sectors with the objective to carve out future partnerships.

Honourable Sidi Mohamed Tunis, the Leader of Government Business representing the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) in the Sierra Leone House of Parliament is going to be elected and would be sworn in as Speaker of the regional Economic Commission of West African States (ECOWAS) Parliament on Monday 9th March 2020, at the Republic of Niger capital, Niamey.

A confirmed report from the Sierra Leone House of Parliament says that a high-powered delegation from the house is due to leave on Saturday 7th March 2020 for the Sahel state of Republic of Niger and is to be led by the Honourable Speaker of the Sierra Leone House of Parliament, Hon. Abass Chernor Bundu.

The fifteen (15) man delegation from the Sierra Leone House of Parliament will comprises twelve (12) Members of Parliament (MPs) as well as three (3) supporting staff who are all due to go in full support and solidarity for the candidacy of Honourable Sidi Mohamed Tunis

Following the outbreak of the Coronavirus in China and its devastating impacts in other countries in the world, the Parliament of Sierra Leone has on Tuesday 4th February 2020 prayed fervently for the People’s Republic of China to quickly contain the virus and expressed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
