Justice Reginald Fynn yesterday acquitted and discharged the embattled President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Isha Johasen and the SLFA Secretary, Christopher Kamara on eight counts charge at the high court holden in Freetown on 15th October 2018.
The duo are standing trial at the high court in an alleged corruption case that was brought against them by the Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) in Sierra Leone.
Justice Reginald Fyn told the court that he found no evidence against them in respect of counts eight counts (count 4 to 11).
“With respect to those counts I find that the defendants have no case to answer. I therefore acquit and discharge them on each of those counts. Count 4 to 11 inclusive,” the judge said.
The Judge further said: “With respect to counts 1 2 & 3, I hold that the defendants have a case to argue.” The court ordered the defendants to to prepare their defence on the next adjourned date, prio to his final ruling.
The defendants were indicted on 8th September, 2017 on allegations of financial impropriety, conspiracy and abuse of office.
Justice Reginald Fyn also granted Isha Johnsen the permission to travel to FIFA/CAF while the matter was adjourned to October 30th, 2018.
